Our own children’s ski school
We’ve been operating our own in house ski school for over twenty years. It’s at the heart of what Snowbizz is all about and the major reason guests return year after year.
The whole English-speaking side is managed by Snowbizz director, Michel. He is present every morning checking all our children are happy. We cater for three year old beginners, through to children with special needs, right across to race training children who have joined elite UK squads. We also run a separate adult ski and board school.
Like the best private schools in the UK, we treat every child as an individual and only employ inspirational instructors who can bring out the best in every child. We listen, encourage and explain to parents where we think some fine-tuning is needed. Over twenty years we’ve learnt that you can’t put children into conveniently labelled ski school boxes, because every single one of them is on a different learning curve.
By the time that important first morning at ski school arrives we will have spent a lot of time trying to get the first day mix of classes just right. There’s so much to consider and unlike main stream school we’ve got only six days to be perfect. We take in everything, from previous achievements on snow, right through to sibling rivalry and quite commonly brothers or sisters who are at varying standards but refuse to be separated on day one.

Private licensed nursery
We are the only British tour operator to own a nursery, fully licensed, by the respected French DDASS. It’s run exclusively for Snowbizz guests and is right on the piste, next door to our accommodation and just opposite the snow garden, where the littlest skiers start their ski day. Even better you can watch them hidden from your balcony. For your peace of mind, one of our qualified nannies will be on hand each day with our youngest skiers as we know a friendly face will help the whole experience.
Convenient Accommodation
You will be right in the heart of the skiing. The Sun Vallee Residence sits on a mountain quad: to one side you have the Snowbizz Nursery, on the opposite side is the snow garden for the Toton Ski Club, at ground floor level we have our Kiddie Club and Junior Ski School. Within a short glide of the locker room is the 4-main chair to 2000m and a little further another 4-man to the top station. The icing on the cake for parents is being able to enjoy a break in one of the restaurants or bars around, whilst keeping a safe eye on the kids skiing or playing in the snow park.
Quiet pistes with no lift queues
Apart from French holidays there are never any lift queues and you will have quiet pistes to yourselves. Even during the peak times it’s unlike the bigger ski stations and you will rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes for a lift.
